Great for my older house's older electric wiring. This smaller Duraflame 1000 watt model is not tripping the circuit-breaker/fuse. I could have ordered the 1500 watt model, but there are people in the house that have "elevator call-button" syndrome. Instead of them using the thermostat, they invariable set the model on the highest setting--they somehow think that the thermostat is like the car accelerator--the more you push it, the quicker it goes. These are the same people that "think"--I use the term VERY broadly--that the more you repeatedly push the elevator call button, the faster the elevator will come to your floor. So, in order to prevent these folks from putting it on the highest temp possible at the highest watt setting, it's so much easier to procure this smaller wattage model and prevent the circuits being tripped by rash, illogical settings that are not compatible with older home wiring. So, if you live in a relatively warmer area, and/or have a rather smaller area to heat, get the 1000 watt model, and save yourself a lot of tripped circuits--not to mention a little bit smaller electric bill.... I am EXTREMELY SATISFIED with this product.

Very pleased with the performance of the heater. Perfect size, warms my home quickly and quietly. A wise choice! Love this!

It heats our log home very well. We were very surprised by its efficiency. We use it in our living room, dining, and kitchen area. We have been very pleased so far.
